Los Angeles Rams have a serious problem heading into the postseason

Los Angeles Rams displayed a weakness that is costing them dearly in their recent loss.

Los Angeles Rams were once the best team in the entire NFC, even surpassing the recent Super Bowl champion, the Philadelphia Eagles. They have consistently performed at a high level in all aspects of the game. It’s clear they are one of the top contenders to compete for the Vince Lombardi Trophy at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco. They don’t want to miss the 60th edition of the NFL championship.

They’re coming off a tough road loss against another strong contender: the Seattle Seahawks. Despite holding a commanding lead in the fourth quarter, they ended up losing. It’s clear they’ve struggled more in primetime games. They’re a very complete team, both offensively and defensively, but they’ve had some weaknesses that have cost them important games, like last Thursday’s.

Matthew Stafford is the leading MVP candidate, being the best player in the entire league. The veteran quarterback is having a historic season, but there’s a problem that could cost him the crown, and it’s a team issue. The statistics don’t lie, and Sean McVay has a tough job ahead of him in the postseason. They have to improve, or their Super Bowl dream will vanish sooner rather than later.

Los Angeles Rams face unfavorable odds

In the Rams’ four losses this season, they shared a common thread. In these four games, they had an 80% chance of winning in the second half, yet despite dominating, they ended up losing. Against the Philadelphia Eagles, they had a 94.4% chance of winning but lost 33-26. Against the San Francisco 49ers, they had an 80.5% chance but lost 23-26. The same happened against the Carolina Panthers, with an 80.2% chance, but they lost 31-28. Against the Seattle Seahawks, they had a 98.5% chance of winning but lost in overtime 38-37, inexplicably.

They have two games left to finish the season. They will face the Atlanta Falcons and the Arizona Cardinals, so they should win easily. Sean McVay has a tough job to do closing out games, especially now that the regular season is coming to an end. They need to adjust and close out games when they need to if they want to lift the Vince Lombardi trophy in San Francisco.
