Los Angeles Rams lose a thrilling game against all odds.
Los Angeles Rams have established themselves as one of the strongest teams in the entire league. They were dominant in every aspect, with an inspired Matthew Stafford. Without a doubt, they are the best in the NFC, along with the Seattle Seahawks. They are clearly one of the contenders to play in the Super Bowl, in one of the most unpredictable seasons in NFL history.
Stafford is in MVP mode and is a strong candidate to win the award, along with Drake Maye and Josh Allen. They’ve been dominant in every aspect and have led their division, the NFC West, all season. They’ve beaten the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks, although their divisional winning streak has come to an end.
Last Thursday Night Football, they faced Seattle on the road, and it ended up being the best game of the entire season. They dominated three quarters, entering the fourth with a 23-14 lead, and when the probability of winning was slightly over 98%, the unexpected happened. Sam Darnold found his rhythm and orchestrated an epic comeback. In the fourth quarter, they tied the game with 16 points, forcing overtime. This incredible game ended 38-37.
Los Angeles Rams lose their lead
Throughout the season, they were the undisputed leaders of the NFC West with an 11-3 record, the same mark achieved by the Seattle Seahawks. With the loss, they lost their lead, falling to 11-4, while their rival reached 12-3, taking over the top spot. This leaves them with no margin for error in the two remaining weeks of the season, although they should win easily.
For their final two regular-season games, the Rams will face the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The final game will be at SoFi Stadium in California vs Arizona Cardinals. Both teams have been underperforming and are practically eliminated, so it shouldn’t be a problem for Sean McVay’s team. Meanwhile, Seattle will face the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. Their final game will be against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium, presenting a much tougher path to securing the division lead.
